What a crazy couple of weeks!

I've honestly never enjoyed being "busy" for the sake of it; I am definitely not what someone would describe as a workaholic by any means. I really enjoy my personal time by myself with a cup of tea, yoga and kitty snuggles. Lately, however, I have been busy in a different way that excites and inspires me.

I have attended multiple meetings with clients and other artists, networking events, photographed a gorgeous styled shoot organized by wedding planner/coordinator Katie Frost (@katiefrostweddings), and actually fit in time in between to do this awesome downtown photoshoot with the absolutely stunning Monica Zamora (@monicazamoralom).

Like I said, C-R-A-Z-Y!

I love photographing weddings, family, birth, etc...but my creative portrait sessions really allow me to branch out and experiment with new techniques and lighting situations. I feel like this helps craft my overall vision for my photos and allows me to practice and apply those techniques for my client's benefit. I also have the opportunity to work with people like Monica, who is such a talented, funny, beautiful soul and a killer model.

We walked around downtown Dallas in search of interesting lighting situations and boy, did we find some! Check out the images from our session below!

If you are interested in doing a portrait session with me, please email opalonyxphotography@gmail.com for more information! XOXO
