A New Experience

Hello friends!

Happy Easter to you all! Usually I am home with my family for Easter and we all participate in an Easter egg hunt and attend Easter services; unfortunately this year my schedule was too busy to make the trek so my fiancé and friends celebrated things a little differently.

We decided to attend the Songkran Thai New Year's festival at the Thai Temple in Dallas. It was such a beautiful day and there were so many people! After grabbing some novelty cakes, Thai tea and various delicious Thai food dishes, we sat in the courtyard amongst the flowers and were serenaded by local music. The Thai Temple is one of my favorite places to visit in Dallas; not only is it absolutely beautiful, it is also warm and welcoming and the people are all so kind. Experiencing and immersing yourself in different cultures is so important these days - personal growth comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone and taking a walk in someone else's shoes.
