Botanical Garden Maternity Session

Welcome!

This week has been full of ups and downs...seriously guys, owning your own business is no joke! I'm sure most of you were stressed out about the universally dreaded "Tax Day" - right there with you! - but now that it's over, pat yourself on the back, grab a cup of your favorite tea, and peruse my latest lush and dreamy maternity session with the stunning mama-to-be Sarah Huff.

I have known Sarah for years, so when she asked me to photograph her maternity session I was so deeply honored. She is a beautiful, kind, faith driven woman who I have no doubt will make an exceptional mother to her little Adeline Rose.

I love traveling for sessions so I packed up and headed to Austin for the weekend. We woke up early Friday morning and headed over to the Zilker Botanical Garden. The morning air was crisp, cool, and clean so it made for an extra enjoyable stroll around the gardens. Sarah's husband, Daniel, volunteered to assist me for the session and did an amazing job holding my reflector and coming up with hilarious jokes that sent us both into giggle-fits. I ended the session with so many gorgeous images it was hard to pick and choose my edits!

Maternity sessions are always such a joy for me to photograph because documenting this life changing stage is so meaningful to me. I know that generally during the "maternity photo" stage of pregnancy, most women are feeling huge and overwhelmed by the tiny being growing inside of them. I make it my mission to empower (because let's face it, you are literally creating a miracle within your body and that is AWESOME!) and uplift my clients through photography and show them just how incredibly beautiful they really are.

In a few short weeks, I will be attending Sarah's natural home birth and photographing the whole labor process as she brings Adeline into the world. I am so thrilled to be included in such an intimate moment and can't wait to see the look of pure love and adoration on Sarah and Daniel's faces. My job as a photographer and support person are one in the same - whether you are getting married, having a baby, or just trying to wrangle your kids for some family photos - I am here to serve you!
